Handcrafted Beer & Tasting

Handcrafted Beer & Tasting

Handcrafted beer that reflects the purity of its natural surroundings...

Cederberg Brewery and Nieuw Brew Kromrivier is brought to life by tinkerers and experimenters, blending traditional methods, expertise and ingenuity with passion, artisanal devotion and creativity, using only 100% natural ingredients to produce full-flavour, handcrafted beer.

The spring water flowing from the surrounding mountains is drawn through many layers of sandstone, naturally filtering impurities and gathering trace minerals en route. This results in crystal-clear mountain water, perfect for brewing the legendary beer that consistently delivers our signature taste.

Cederberg Brewery

A microbrewery based at Cederberg Private Cellar on Dwarsrivier Farm in the heart of the pristine and unpolluted Cederberg Conservation Area.

handcrafted beer cederberg

Beers brewed to perfection – a masterful blend of crystal-clear mountain water, filtered through many layers of sandstone and the noblest hops.

Our goal with Cederberg Brewery was simple- “to brew beers that the people want to drink”. We basically just facilitate the natural process of nature when making our beers.

About Cederberg Conservancy

  • The Cederberg Conservancy was constituted in 1997 as a voluntary agreement between landowners to manage the environment in a sustainable manner. It consolidates 22 properties in the central Cederberg as one of the core corridors of the Greater Cederberg Biodiversity Corridor and it is active through quarterly meetings and awareness days.

Visitors to the area can engage in bird watching or easy hikes to the Stadsaal cave and Elephant rock art. For the more adventurous visitor the Conservancy offers Mountain bike trails or overnight hiking trials that vary from one to five nights, depending on your level of fitness and ability.
