The valley surrounded by mountains gives you the starry of starry nights, with the Southern Cross, Taurus, Magdalenian cloud, Pleiades, Orion and Scorpio. The last two constellations are visible during summer and winter respectively. You can ask Gerrit, owner and manager, to point out the different star constellations at night and he will draw you one of his famous maps to explore some of the day hikes in the area. Chantel, owner and cook in the fully licensed restaurant, will prepare you the best steak ever. Day visitors are also welcome Breakfast from 07H00 to 10H00, Lunches from 12H00 to 16H00 and Suppers from 18H00 20H00. We also cater for people staying at other accommodation facilities. About Cederberg Conservancy

  • The Cederberg Conservancy was constituted in 1997 as a voluntary agreement between landowners to manage the environment in a sustainable manner. It consolidates 22 properties in the central Cederberg as one of the core corridors of the Greater Cederberg Biodiversity Corridor and it is active through quarterly meetings and awareness days.

Visitors to the area can engage in bird watching or easy hikes to the Stadsaal cave and Elephant rock art. For the more adventurous visitor the Conservancy offers Mountain bike trails or overnight hiking trials that vary from one to five nights, depending on your level of fitness and ability.
